My mantra is that you should feel happier when you leave work than when you arrive. That happens when you work with empathetic colleagues and learn something you didn’t know before.
– Jesper Mølbach Thomsen, CCO
Megatrade - sourcing is in our DNA
At Megatrade, we source industrial components for wind turbine production, as well as for the pharmaceutical, food, and robotics industries, among others. Our product catalogue includes more than 10,000 items, and if we don’t already have what the customer is looking for, we find new suppliers or design the component ourselves.
We are a team of 20 colleagues working across sales, procurement, warehouse operations, and the development of technical special solutions. You will become part of a purchasing team consisting of one Purchasing Manager and one Buyer.
Managing procurement from around the world
If a supplier’s schedule slips, you are the one who informs Sales and Supply Chain, ensuring we maintain a high level of transparency towards our customers. Together with the rest of the team, you will also handle the administration of our approximately 170 global suppliers.
More specifically, your responsibilities will include:
- Sending out requests for quotations to larger suppliers – more complex negotiations are handled by your colleagues
- Planning and managing standard products as well as special items
- Ensuring order confirmations match invoices and freight charges, and approving invoices
- Sending freight inquiries to our regular freight forwarders operating by sea, land, and air
- Updating ongoing cases with the supply chain via email and phone
We thrive by being in the office most days, but remote work is, of course, an option.
A system-oriented team player
You gain energy from interacting with many different types of people every day. And when your inbox (on rare occasions) overflows with emails that need replies, you remain calm and structured.
In addition, we imagine that you:
- Have a business or office-related education and several years of experience with purchasing and planning – we also welcome candidates with more extensive experience
- Do not necessarily need prior international experience, but you have the courage to take on a global role
- Have experience with Navision, Business Central, or a similar ERP system
- Are able to communicate professionally with English-speaking suppliers
