– and marks 10 years at the helm

Dropping “Beslag” from the name

When Susanne took the helm in 2016, A/S Megatrade Beslag was a classic component supplier with limited design development, mainly serving the wind turbine industry. Today, the company delivers development projects and solutions to major customers in wind energy, pharmaceuticals, food processing and the electrical sector, with some 20 colleagues working with more than 400 global suppliers.

This year, the journey was marked with a name change to Megatrade A/S. Dropping “Beslag” – Danish for fittings – from the name says a lot about how far the company has come.

Corporate experience in a family business

Susanne is an export engineer by training and joined Megatrade after 15 years as a department manager in sales and sales support at major telecom companies, followed by seven years working with talent development. She joined the board in 2015, became CEO the following year and took over full ownership in 2022.

“Understanding the DNA of an SME and succeeding with business development when you come from the corporate world is not something you do overnight. I am proud to have structured the company to have the right competencies and agile management,” says Susanne Dreisig Galtt.

A sound and responsible business

Neither the covid crisis nor the geopolitical challenges in the component markets have required state aid or bank involvement. At the same time, Susanne sees customers prioritising security of supply and resilience over the lowest unit price – a development that plays directly to the company’s agility and flat structure.

In her own words: “In 2026, success is no longer about growing the fastest, but about adapting the smartest and building on foundations that can withstand reality.”
