Megatrade – sourcing is our DNA
At Megatrade, we source industrial components for wind turbine production as well as the pharma, food, and robotics industries. Our product catalog includes more than 10,000 items – and if we do not have what the customer is looking for, we find new suppliers or develop the solution ourselves.
We are 20 colleagues across sales, procurement, warehouse, and development of technical solutions. You will become part of a technical team consisting of our Technical Manager, Product & Quality Specialist, and R&D Engineer.
Manage technical inquiries from across the globe
At Megatrade, we handle more than 7,000 customer-specific inquiries annually. A large share involves new or unknown products and suppliers.
You will play a central role in interpreting documentation, drawings, and technical descriptions, enabling us to deliver exactly the product the customer requires – or identify a competitive alternative with the same specifications.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing documentation, drawings, and technical descriptions from customer inquiries
- Identifying and sourcing alternative products and solutions
- Working with technical components such as electrical components, cables and cable accessories, as well as other industrial components
- Obtaining pricing from suppliers for new products and solutions
- Preparing technical documentation and datasheets in collaboration with marketing
- Supporting the sales department with technical solutions and accessories
Electrical profile with system understanding and collaboration skills
You are motivated by a dynamic workday with many touchpoints and are able to maintain overview – even when the pace is high.
In addition, we expect that you:
- Have an electrical engineering background
You will receive thorough training in the more mechanical aspects of the role, and you will have strong support from three colleagues who are specialists in mechanical products.
- Have an interest in – or experience with – technical product support and cross-functional collaboration
- Are familiar with technical documentation, drawings, and specifications
- Are comfortable working with international customers and suppliers
- Can communicate professionally in English
- Have experience with ERP systems – we work in Business Central, and if you are not familiar with it, we provide training
- Possibly have experience with CAD software – and if not, we also offer training in this area.
