Megatrade follows the development and requirements of compliance legislation, from our various manufacturers.
Based on the information that is currently available from our manufacturers, and to the best of our knowledge, we have filled out a form.
The form contains information on the following compliances.
REACH
Registration, evaluation, authorization, and restriction of chemicals from the SVHC candidate list per June 2024, as required by Article 33 of REACH no. 1907/2006.
RoHS
Restrictions on the use of certain hazardous substances (RoHS) in electrical and electronic equipment.
Trade Sanctions against Russia
In accordance with EU Regulation No. 833/2014 of 31 July 2014 on restrictive measures concerning Russia's actions destabilizing the situation in Ukraine, as amended by EU Regulation No. 2023/1214 of 23 July 2023, Article 3g, the import of iron and steel products from chapters 72 and 73 listed herein is prohibited if they originate from Russia or are made of Russian steel.
PFAS
PFAS (Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) are a large class of thousands of synthetic chemicals which resist degradation when used and also in the environment. There is pending legislation from the EU to ensure that as many products as possible are free of PFAS. The regulations are expected to come into force from 2025/26 and will cover many thousands of types of PFAS.
Conflict minerals/3TG
The EU Conflict Minerals Regulation (EU Regulation 2017/821) came into force on January 1, 2021 and requires importers of tin, tantalum, tungsten, and gold to implement a due diligence scheme for responsible sourcing. This regulation aims to ensure conflict-free sourcing of these materials to prevent the financing of armed groups and human rights abuses.
